Case Manager
About the Role:
The Case Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients and coordinates all aspects of case progression from intake through resolution. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage case files from initial intake through case closure, ensuring all deadlines and milestones are met
- Serve as primary liaison between clients, attorneys, medical providers, and insurance companies
- Track and monitor case status, document production, and critical deadlines using case management software
- Coordinate medical appointments, independent medical examinations (IMEs), and depositions
- Prepare status reports and case summaries for attorneys and clients
- Maintain detailed case notes and documentation in compliance with firm protocols
- Assist with demand package preparation and settlement negotiations
- Monitor statute of limitations and filing deadlines
- Handle client inquiries and provide regular case updates
- Coordinate with medical records and document retrieval teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the legal field
- Direct case management experience is strongly preferred at this time
- 2–4 years of experience in personal injury, mass tort, or litigation case work
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and the case lifecycle
- Proficiency in case management software (Filevine, Litify, Clio, or similar)
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet strict deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal certification
- Experience with personal injury or mass tort cases
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred)
