The Court Filings & Docketing Specialist prepares and tracks all documents filed with the court. They ensure e-filings are accurate, deadlines are met, and confirmation receipts are properly logged in the firm’s system.

What the job involves.
Key Responsibilities
- Format, proof, and prepare pleadings, motions, and notices for e-filing.
- Upload filings to state and federal portals under attorney supervision.
- Record filing confirmations and service proofs in CMS.
- Maintain the docket calendar for hearings, responses, and motions.
- Verify all filings meet court formatting and timing requirements.
- Notify attorneys and paralegals of accepted or rejected filings.
- Archive finalized pleadings and update case indexes.
KPIs / Performance Metrics
- Filing turnaround ≤ 24 hours after attorney approval (≥ 95%).
- Zero missed or late court deadlines.
- Filing confirmation logged within 1 business day (100%).
- Accuracy rate on formatting and captions ≥ 99%.
- Weekly docket audit compliance = 100%.
