About the Role:

The Court Filings & Docketing Specialist prepares and tracks all documents filed with the court. They ensure e-filings are accurate, deadlines are met, and confirmation receipts are properly logged in the firm’s system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Format, proof, and prepare pleadings, motions, and notices for e-filing.
  • Upload filings to state and federal portals under attorney supervision.
  • Record filing confirmations and service proofs in CMS.
  • Maintain the docket calendar for hearings, responses, and motions.
  • Verify all filings meet court formatting and timing requirements.
  • Notify attorneys and paralegals of accepted or rejected filings.
  • Archive finalized pleadings and update case indexes.

KPIs / Performance Metrics

  • Filing turnaround ≤ 24 hours after attorney approval (≥ 95%).
  • Zero missed or late court deadlines.
  • Filing confirmation logged within 1 business day (100%).
  • Accuracy rate on formatting and captions ≥ 99%.
