Discovery Management Specialist
About the Role:
The Discovery Management Specialist oversees the exchange of discovery materials between parties. They log outgoing requests, track responses, and maintain organized discovery databases for attorney review.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and log outgoing discovery requests (interrogatories, RFPs, RFAs).
- Track deadlines for responses and objections.
- Receive and organize incoming discovery responses and productions.
- Manage bates-labeling and document indexing in e-discovery tools.
- Coordinate with attorneys for privilege and relevance reviews.
- Maintain discovery status reports for each active case.
- Support production of discovery packets to opposing counsel.
KPIs / Performance Metrics
- Discovery deadline compliance ≥ 98%.
- Document labeling/indexing accuracy ≥ 99%.
- Discovery log updated within 24 hours of new activity (100%).
- Zero missed or untracked responses per audit.
- Weekly discovery report submission = 100%.
